However, I have so many things in place from when I really first began this creative journey.<br />
I am beginning again, but I am not starting from scratch.<br />
The trials of the past have given me perseverance I had not idea I possessed.<br />
<br />
I am still recovering from a major life change but I am allowing my life to become better and trying very hard to not become bitter... I am finding that I am not having to try so hard at it lately.<br />
<br />
I have hope.<br />
I have a new vision.<br />
I have wisdom to stop and pray.<br />
I have Grace.<br />
I have Mercy.<br />
And most of all, I have love.<br />
I have the love of so many sweet supporters and friends and family. People who constantly encourage me and remind me of why I create. Why I love to teach people. Why I get out of bed each morning.<br />
<br />
I have a commitment to stop and spend time with God and meditate each day with him on the creative process he has called me to. I had forgotten what peace and joy there is in that little bubble of meditation. That fellowship is exactly what makes everything right in my world and I am eager to get back to it more and more over the next year.<br />
<br />
Blessings,<br />
Ralonda<br />

I haven't had the<span style="font-size: large;"> heart</span> to blog in sometime, mostly because I believe in speaking positive affirmations and not magnifying a problem. There is a part of me that has not blogged because of derogatory comments made about sharing your story through blogging. I now realize that it is that very thing that needs to happen. That is, we need to share our stories. They encourage, uplift, and help us identify with one another on a level that is supernatural. I don't know about you but I am all about connections on a supernatural level. So much of this world has left us wanting, with a hole- Plumb calls it a "God-Shaped Hole". I have to agree.<br />
<br />
There are many problems in going on in my life at the moment and just to briefly share- My life as I knew it for many years has been torn apart. I am separated and <span style="font-size: large;">missing</span> one of my boys, my baby boy. I am facing a nasty divorce and the disconnections of my baby boy. Please, if you read anything into this read that HE is bigger and He is seeing me through. I am on an amazing road to recovery and am <span style="font-size: x-large;">OH SO LOVED!</span><br />
<br />
The derogatory comments come from a lack of connection with people and disdain for sharing personal information that might make you vulnerable. I am not an island unto myself. I need other people,<span style="font-size: large;"> Truth</span> be told, we all need each other because we were created for relationship. Sharing my stories of life in this blog is just a way for me to tell you that I have loved, failed, been hurt, and can recover, There is nothing wrong or self seeking in that, we need to share and not judge.<br />
<br />
For me, the road to <span style="font-size: large;">recovery</span> of any kind always starts with God, this is why I agree with Plumb, whatever it is lacking in your life, whatever is missing, whatever is hurting, you can always plug God into it and He will fill it up to overflowing.<br />
<br />

New Releases?!</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today I finally made time to release two special designs on my<a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/Beaded2Bless?ref=l2-shopheader-name"> Etsy shop</a>. The first of which was my very first National Class taught at Bead Fest Texas in October back in 2011. It was Bead Fest's second year in Arlington, Texas and my very first time teaching for them. The very first year I volunteered to help Bead Fest as a Dallas Bead Society member. It was then that I wore my design and was asked to submit it as a class proposal. It is a special design and brings back a lot of happy times. </div>

I love the romantic feel of these earrings. The old street lights of a time forgotten can be remembered every time you wear these. You can almost hear the clip-clop of horse hooves as the carriages roll down the streets. Maybe it's a stretch of the imagination, but I could definitely dream it.</div>

The new year is bringing me a new life.</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A friend of mine has chosen for several years to forgo the tradition of resolutions and instead adopt a tradition of a word that has significance for the year. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Being reminded of that, I am with her!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
My word of the year:</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">"Revelation"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Groan, if you must.</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRxM08m80GdBh4g7zUFa443jRGJ_MnLa9z5-p92Zj8oOos2JfbXXVrZZH24ZowOXhkY8ofCztcdv9pvuFE8veNp9TAV0BEroGlBnHKimOuFRffMxpJ2ZzUx8sNb0MfnZXj15VBMmyrlRG4/s1600/1488157_774738735874556_1591198328_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRxM08m80GdBh4g7zUFa443jRGJ_MnLa9z5-p92Zj8oOos2JfbXXVrZZH24ZowOXhkY8ofCztcdv9pvuFE8veNp9TAV0BEroGlBnHKimOuFRffMxpJ2ZzUx8sNb0MfnZXj15VBMmyrlRG4/s400/1488157_774738735874556_1591198328_n.jpg" width="322" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><div style="font-size: medium;">
It started stirring up before 2013 ever ended.</div>
<div style="font-size: medium;">
It is so powerful that is just couldn't wait.</div>
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
Some things revealed to me:</h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<ol>
<li style="text-align: left;">Use a filter when taking in what other say about you- it's not all true- it is merely their perception. You could also set the value of their truth to the value of their relationship to you.</li>
<li style="text-align: left;"> Revelation leads us to wisdom and making better choices. It sets us on the path of our calling</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">The best one of all came to me just this morning-I am divinely appointed to make things and to create. Just as Bezalel was called to create with his giftings, so am I. To create with a "heavenly pattern" brings him Glory. </li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Find your inspiration, and glue your self to IT. MY inspiration is my faith in God and His son Jesus. Every thing I create comes from being centered in that and surrounded by His love for me.</li>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have found two books that have been inspiring me, though I am actually studying from four. The first one is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/The-Creative-Heart-Kerrie-Christensen-ebook/dp/B006UBSBKE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388683761&sr=8-1&keywords=kerrie+christensen">Creative Heart</a> by Kerrie Christensen, and the other is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Unlocking-Heart-Artist-Practical-Fulfilling/dp/1460930258/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388683816&sr=8-1&keywords=unlocking+the+heart+of+the+artist">Unlocking the Heart of the Artist</a> by Matt Tommey. They are not for everyone but if you find your faith to be your inspiration and desire a greater connection with the Creator of the Universe, then this will set you on fire.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you have followed my blog for sometime, you may remember "FireFly". She received Honorable Mention in the "Unlocking the Heart of the Artist" show in <a href="http://beaded2bless.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html">in 2012</a>. I immediately wanted to become a part of this wonderful movement. In September of 2014, I hope to be going to the "Gathering of Artisans"</div>

In the wee hours of the morning the temperature managed to drop from a comfortable 70-ish to a chilly 50-ish and now- cold rain. I am thankful for the rain, but I am not a fan of the cold. I tend to get slow, crickety and cranky when the cold comes in and today is no exception.<br />
<br />

BUT, it is a good day to be a beader. The great outdoors is not calling my name today and I can contentedly sit at my desk and create. It could use a good cleaning but I think I need another dose of spring to jump start that "spring cleaning" mode.<br />
<br />
I shall be content to create in my mess of a haven.<br />

I think I will start with the the beaded beads that I am collaborating with Mandi to design and market. There is a lot of work to be done. Colors and instructions need to be decided on and created. Specific stitches and how they are offered are yet to be finalized. The designs themselves are pretty much set and variations are still being toyed with, but giving the project a name has been an issue. While sharing a conversations she commented, "Give it a Whirl". It struck a cord with her so she suggested it as a name and we think it may be perfect.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I like everything it suggests:</div>

Beading isn't the only thing that has taken over! I managed to sew a costume for young lady for her UIL One Act Play performance. It was decided that there would be a beaded art doll shoe challenge on BAD.....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Two of us are stitching shoes to offer as forms. I have been playing with some ideas to make shoes like the one I previously posted small enough and completely stuffed. This way, a doll face could be added and it could become a small art doll. There are requirements that must be met on BAD (Beaded Art Doll Yahoo group- for those who may not know) for forms that are to be used in a Round Robin. The most difficult to achieve of these requirements is size. The forms I want to make are difficult to sew and sewing them in miniature is even more difficult. after several attempts I have landed a design that I can both sew easily and reproduce often. The last time I designed a form for one of their Round Robins, I wound up making 33 teapots forms. The demand doesn't seem to be as high this time and there is another lady making forms (phew). Below are the first few, which are far too large for a RR but are okay for a challenge or even just fun. I am not sure I want to reproduce any of these at this point. I would need some serious motivation to make more of them. The last one is the design I have settle on and will work beautifully for production and the Round Robin (that is if it is approved by the group mods).</div>

Been feeling a bit ragged here lately. So, I decided to capture that in a doll as a way to remember that being run ragged often produces some pretty neat things if we will follow thru and endure with hope and patience.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That last bit is a pep talk to myself but feel free to claim it for your own.</div>

It has been a very long time since my last post. Hang on to your hats because I now have a laptop dedicated to staying connected that no one else will be using- ever.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been beading- but not on anything very important.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I participated in a bird RR for a<a href="http://beadedartdollsgroup.blogspot.com/"> beaded art doll group on yahoo.</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also had the privilege of delivering a RR doll to its owner after 9 other ladies worked on her. We had to put all the other dolls on hold so that we might deliver "Joy" as soon as possible. The dolly's mommy was very ill and was concerned that she may not see her doll before she died. Well, we barely made it. She received her doll only a week before she went home to be with the Lord.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL2BI736IicxPG7DhqnX-Ezpq0hDCKcd4w2gUkWzkFe6NdUTO6fd2YOvB-h_P9LEvV2V7h9lKARpg73om1ZYCCGTaE95BJ9D4G0BsaDmSVTKfhnbtU4s6xU6JOHg5jAJAxwQldxKCZxBq9/s1600/facebook_-286528127.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL2BI736IicxPG7DhqnX-Ezpq0hDCKcd4w2gUkWzkFe6NdUTO6fd2YOvB-h_P9LEvV2V7h9lKARpg73om1ZYCCGTaE95BJ9D4G0BsaDmSVTKfhnbtU4s6xU6JOHg5jAJAxwQldxKCZxBq9/s400/facebook_-286528127.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Carol Anne was a remarkable lady (forefront) and an amazing friend and mother.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Kathy is an awesome friend too (also pictured).</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Usually the passing of a loved one while working on a beaded doll puts me in a funk. Having been able to deliver hers really gave me some closure on that kind of creative funk. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a show to do this weekend and <a href="https://thriva.activenetwork.com/Reg4/(S(abn4cknv4lhkgf55ltnrhraq))/Form.aspx?regkey=RpYOYPxE378nDpneEt7lpaGkT8QERC4uiqyf%2f0HkH%2bo%3d">Bead Fest</a> to prepare for in October.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will be teaching Steampunk Style Beaded Cogs.</div>

As a toddler, my mother knew there was something wrong with my ankles. It probably didn't help soothe her mind to note that there were two other cases of club foot and another baby born to my father with a severe deformity. I tell you this because my mother spent a lot of time rubbing my feet and taking care that I had just the right shoes. I wore corrective shoes and braces until I was old enough to protest. She knew I meant business when I threw one of the braces out the window as we sped down the highway.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks to my mother, her persistence and the grace of God, I can walk today.</div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Shoes always had a special significance to me, not just because they are trendy, but because they represent her dedication to my future. When I found her ballroom slippers under her bed just before she passed ( we knew she was going to in just a matter of hours), I cried my eyes out. Being practical, I nearly passed them over. It wasn't until my Sister In Law, Betty,who watched me break down, told me to keep them. My first thought was," I never could wear her dainty little shoes." Then it hit me, I didn't have to be able to wear them to keep them.</div>

Whenever I create a doll, I am whisked away by the Creative Spirit. It is that little voice inside me that directs me down the path. With "Firefly" that voice was harder to hear and spoke far fewer words, just as you might expect from a doll that is asking the for the flames to be fanned into an inferno from just a smoldering coal. The vision grew into a brighter light. Now we have "The Flood". It is indeed a flood of ideas, a rushing movement of a fluid life. It is another representation of one's life captured in art, a piece that has identified what cannot be explained in words.</div>

Since first creating this doll's form, there have been many projects to complete, strict schedules to stick too, and the mundane everyday chores to be kept up with. In addition to all of these, I have been working with injuries. Last Monday, I sprained my ankle- I learned how hard it is to bead with your foot in the air. I also learned what a comfy nest I have made for myself in my "sewing area". On Tuesday I sprained my left ring finger, not a significant digit until you are aware of how much it really assists the others, and on Wednesday night I managed to smack my nose on the corner of my nightstand in my sleep leaving a cut across the bridge of my nose. All of these make me thankful that I usually operate in relatively little pain in my day to day life!</div>

The Creative Spirit has blessed me with exciting new avenues to explore and is sharing with me the significance of it all. I took two classes from <a href="http://schoolofbeadwork.com/melaniepottersbeadworkkits.aspx">Melanie Potter</a> this past weekend, Petalicious and Queen Esther's Jewels. She is an amazingly gifted teacher, and was another inspiration to me. She has the most lovely spirit and it would have been awesome to just ride around in her pocket for a week or two...really more.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Well Little "Lady Bird" has done just that.</div>

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
There is no apology necessary for getting distracted with this little bird challenge from <a href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beaded_art_dolls/">BAD</a>. </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
Baby pink is not my usual go to color. In fact, I tend to avoid it when possible. Pastels are just not my thing. Ever since I created a bunch of birds for kits for the Texas Bead Retreat, I have been eyeing a pink form that had little birds printed on it. </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
I KNOW- again with the birds!</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She took form when several things collided. The form hanging around, the challenge, a face laying on my table rejected by The Flood, and then the final factor. There was a news story about folks complaining about the mowers wanting to mow down some of the wildflowers early due to limited visibility. Of course the story could not be aired without retelling the story of "Lady Bird Johnson's" Highway Beautification Program, because that is were the wildflowers originated. It is also how "Lady Bird" got her name. What a First Lady she must have been, and this pink bird represents that to me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
She is not finished yet and even she will be interrupted by two classes I am taking this weekend from Melanie Potter. Until I have completed her, The Flood will have to be held back. </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">
We will have to be very careful when she is finally unleashed!</div>

</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;">I know we all dread that word "obedience" but really it is not so dreadful. It is not at all an unhappy experience when you get your head in the game and your heart set right and just do what it is that you are being called to. The rewards, the blessings far outweigh any discomfort or inconvenience you may experience in the beginning. Really, it beats the snot out of the consequences too.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">I usually begin a doll with a specific motivation to hold me steadfast and to be obedient to the vision. This time the motivation didn't come until it was almost to late to complete the piece for its purpose. With the exception of the Round Robin dolls, I have always completed every stitch by my own hand. This doll was a first, she has bead work completed by others too. This was all part of the obedience... humbling myself, letting go and letting others help. This is not an easy task for a perfectionist, control nut. The organization and planning it took to coordinate it was also something that does not come so easily to the creative mind.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

After all, the main reason I pursued beading was because it consumed more of my time, which slowed ME down. I naturally zoom through life and that is NOT always a good thing.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have learned to pace myself or to set realistic goals when something needs to be done. <br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">What exactly HAS to be done by WHEN?<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I decided that both legs needed to be beaded by the 18th so that I can bead the back and arms just before putting on the wings and feathers. Somewhere in there, the hair has to be figured in. I am still up in the air on that one because it will catch on everything but then again so will the feathers.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am almost done with both legs! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Let me back track a moment</span>.</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I sent a post on a yahoo group that asked for urgent help making feathers. I asked those interested to email me for more details. What they didn't expect was that I wanted them to create the feathers while listening to praise/ worship music, the word or while they prayed. I knew that some might be completely turned off at the idea but I was not ready for the amazing words that came from some of the participants. Many of them said they "would be honored" to help. One lady was "blown away" by my request as she hasn't been a Christian for very long. I sent packages to those that agreed that contained beads to make 15 feathers, return address label and even return postage ($2) a total of 15 people. They also had a pdf tutorial for how to make the feathers that was emailed to them- they take less than 30 minutes. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">What really warmed my heart, besides the returned packages with more feathers than requested by each person, was the notes inside. They even sent back the return postage! The spirit that these feathers carried was so overwhelming that I have been overwhelmed with tears of joy on several occasions today. </div><div style="text-align: center;">That IS BEADED 2 BLESS, and it has blessed my socks off!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Now I am more determined than ever to get this doll done and sent in by the deadline! </div><div style="text-align: center;">I can do this- WE can do this!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
