New things to add to My Etsy




I now have a link to my Etsy shop, http://beaded2bless.etsy.com/. I will be adding these two little jewels to it today. I sold the fork I had listed there this week, so now I must replace it with a new one. Here it is..


It has a plum colored dyed blister pearl as the top focal bead and a large faceted turquoise flower bead for the center focal, The purple pearl is adds a little movement, and the frame at the bottom that says "cry out to Jesus". I also have my first little beaded doll that has this phrase on it and I carry it in my purse always. The frame is secured with wire and the tines of the fork.



The next piece is an altered domino using Technique Tuesday stamps. On the front are Love birds stamped and painted and on the back are hearts with swirls. It has a chain that is about 18 inches. Linked to the chain are copper "sequins" and turquoise swarovsky bicones and these neat little copper colored faux pearls.


I met the mother of the lady who bought the first fork I showed here. She was sent by her daughter to purchase another one of my items- a beaded doll in an altered tin. What a blessing it was to meet her! After talking with her I have decided to put together a few kits to make some beaded dolls. I also talked with a lady on BAD who was dissatisfied with a kit she purchased- I know I can create a lovely kit with well made doll forms, so be looking for that in my etsy shop soon.

Beginning again.

I feel as if I am beginning again. However, I have so many things in place from when I really first began this creative journey. I am beginning again, but I am not starting from scratch. The trials of the past have given me perseverance I had not idea I possessed. I am still recovering from a major life change but I am allowing my life to become better and trying very hard to not become bitter... I am finding that I am not having to try so hard at it lately. I want to thank everyone for your kind comments on "Effy' whether here or by email. I also want to thank everyone who has been encouraging me to pursue the many facets of beading as an art and a business. Who would have thought one thing could be so fulfilling in so many different facets. The result of having such encouraging friends is the developement of my very first pattern and kit. Doll Journey: Focus

 After trying to work on the arms a few times, I did not like what I saw. It was not the right texture and  I realized that the mixes needed to be refined a little. I can do that, and I can find the right texture too. But  I decided that I just need to focus on what is really driving this doll, the flames. The idea is to stitch the shaped memory wire onto the fabric, bead it then cut around the edges. After all of that is done I may decide to paint the backside instead of beading it. Then I will attach it to the doll--and shoot myself in the foot for adding another element that will make beading the rest of the doll a nightmare. Maybe not...I don't have a really good track record for taking the easy way out...so maybe. Here is a small mock up that set me to stitching.
