Alot of help...

Image
I have to thank everyone for all the help they have given me! I know another post about giving thanks. But really, in all things give thanks, right? I have been inspired to create this piece.... All thanks to Ms. Mandi from Bead Circle  and her post about the color challenge. I am sorry that we chose to use the same color triad, I really wanted to see what she would have done with the other color triads. I never thought we would choose the same colors. I wanted to explore what the possibilities were with the kit I designed.  I pulled colors and then realized where I had seen them-- it was on her site. I really wanted to try different options to the rings I had originally used.and a different color palette than what I kitted.  I came up with this and I love  it ( so did Denise (who had fun wearing it all day today LOL ).  I apologize for the picture, the aurora (yellow) glares off- white in both of these pictures. Contests

Image
There are so many contests out there to wet your appetite or stir your spirit. Mandi at Bead-circle  has been posting some really good ones. One is creating a peice inspired by Haute Couture . This was a visual feast for me, I want to make the garments forget the contest! The inspirations are amazing. My favorite is one that looks like brickstitch around a druk. Holy cow! I can do this with beads on a small scale- now I want to do it with fabric on a larger scale! Then there is the beaded bead contest . Not something I want to do (the contest I mean) but I do have to make a beaded bead for a lady in the near future. If she sees Janice wear her necklace one more time without having her very own,bad things may happen. I simply cannot be responsible for any coveting or envy in our church body. Not really, but she  liked what she saw and requested that I make one for her. I have been working on a different variation of my cogs to enter in the "1000 Steampunk Inspirations" . ...

I want to thank everyone for your kind comments on "Effy' whether here or by email. I also want to thank everyone who has been encouraging me to pursue the many facets of beading as an art and a business. Who would have thought one thing could be so fulfilling in so many different facets. The result of having such encouraging friends is the developement of my very first pattern and kit. Beaded Cogs SteamPunk Style And there are four colorways. I have a limited number of kits right now but after I teach my first class I will be able to put together more. If you want more information you can leave a comment with your email and I will get back to you.
