Alot of help...

I have to thank everyone for all the help they have given me! I know another post about giving thanks. But really, in all things give thanks, right? I have been inspired to create this piece....
All thanks to Ms. Mandi from Bead Circle and her post about the color challenge. I am sorry that we chose to use the same color triad, I really wanted to see what she would have done with the other color triads. I never thought we would choose the same colors. I wanted to explore what the possibilities were with the kit I designed.  I pulled colors and then realized where I had seen them-- it was on her site. I really wanted to try different options to the rings I had originally used.and a different color palette than what I kitted.  I came up with this and I love  it ( so did Denise (who had fun wearing it all day today LOL).  I apologize for the picture, the aurora (yellow) glares off- white in both of these pictures.
This one is still too bright but you can see the focal closer- up. All the encouragement I have received from various people online and in person has made this possible. Thanks for all the love!

After I work on this prom dress I am making for a neighbor, I will post some more about today's class I took.

I also want to thank everyone who has been encouraging me to pursue the many facets of beading as an art and a business. Beginning again.

I feel as if I am beginning again. However, I have so many things in place from when I really first began this creative journey. I am beginning again, but I am not starting from scratch. The trials of the past have given me perseverance I had not idea I possessed. I am still recovering from a major life change but I am allowing my life to become better and trying very hard to not become bitter... I am finding that I am not having to try so hard at it lately. I have hope. I have a new vision. I have wisdom to stop and pray. I have Grace. I have Mercy. And most of all, I have love. I have the love of so many sweet supporters and friends and family. People who constantly encourage me and remind me of why I create. Why I love to teach people. Why I get out of bed each morning. I have a commitment to stop and spend time with God and meditate each day with him on the creative process he has called me to. Doll Journey: Nesting

Whenever a momma of any kind births, she begins to nest. She gathers things needed for a  time when little else gets done besides the nurturing of a new creature. Whenever we craft or create we do the same thing. We gather things close to us that we feel are necessary for some serious time spent on our project. On a grander scale, some may refer to it as "hoarding" but I prefer to call it nesting. It allows us to focus on the task at hand without interruption or distraction. It makes sense, doesn't it? My collecting usually starts with seed beads. I hunt down every possible color that I may want to include. For this doll I have put together 3 different mixes of flesh tones in different intensities.If you know me, you would think I am really crazy because I do NOT like my beads mixed. However, the idea is to see the glow of a flame reflecting off of a natural skin tone.  "Flesh to flames".
