Holy Cow!

See all that great green grass? Yeah, I do too.

 So why does this cow think it needs to graze on my 10ft X 60ft concrete porches and devour all three of the pompoms on top of my Dracanea. The very house plants that I sheltered all winter in my lil livingroom so that I might enjoy them for another year on the porch?
Oh and the little white oak trees that my husband picked the acorns up from a place in Georgia when he was there for the first time in his whole life. Some people pic up souvenirs my husband picks up rocks and seeds. We have been taking good care of those little oaks  in our house all winter! It looked more like a green house in our kitchen and livingroom than anything else! Well it is little mishaps like these that allow you to eat the cute little guys when all their cuteness wears off and they weigh over a ton!
If this makes you giggle then good- I will catch  up to you after I sweep all the potting soil off  the porch and get evrything repotted and see if they actually live.

Beginning again.

I feel as if I am beginning again. However, I have so many things in place from when I really first began this creative journey. I am beginning again, but I am not starting from scratch. The trials of the past have given me perseverance I had not idea I possessed. I am still recovering from a major life change but I am allowing my life to become better and trying very hard to not become bitter... I am finding that I am not having to try so hard at it lately. I have hope. I have a new vision. I have wisdom to stop and pray. I have Grace. I have Mercy. And most of all, I have love. I have the love of so many sweet supporters and friends and family. I also want to thank everyone who has been encouraging me to pursue the many facets of beading as an art and a business. Doll Journey: Nesting

Whenever a momma of any kind births, she begins to nest. She gathers things needed for a  time when little else gets done besides the nurturing of a new creature. Whenever we craft or create we do the same thing. We gather things close to us that we feel are necessary for some serious time spent on our project. On a grander scale, some may refer to it as "hoarding" but I prefer to call it nesting. It allows us to focus on the task at hand without interruption or distraction. It makes sense, doesn't it? My collecting usually starts with seed beads. I hunt down every possible color that I may want to include. For this doll I have put together 3 different mixes of flesh tones in different intensities.If you know me, you would think I am really crazy because I do NOT like my beads mixed. However, the idea is to see the glow of a flame reflecting off of a natural skin tone.  "Flesh to flames".
